Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Daysie is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Daysie app, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use Daysie:
- Account information — your email address when you create an account or join the waitlist.
- Trip data — itineraries, destinations, travel dates, and trip details you create within the app.
- Places and location data — locations you add to trips or search for via the app. We do not track your device location in the background.
- Photos you upload — any images you attach to trips or activities inside the app.
- Usage analytics — anonymised data about how you interact with the app (screens visited, features used, crash reports) to help us improve Daysie.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and personalise the Daysie service.
- Generate AI-powered itineraries based on your inputs.
- Send you product updates and launch notifications (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
Daysie relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.
- Google Places / Maps — place search and map data for itinerary building.
- Expo (push notifications) — delivery of push notifications to your device, if you enable them.
- OpenAI / AI provider — your trip inputs are sent to an AI model to generate itinerary suggestions. Inputs are not used to train models under our agreements.
4. Data Storage and Transfers
Your data is stored on servers located in the United States via Supabase. If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, your data is transferred to the US under appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses where applicable).
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time — see Section 6.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, visit our data deletion page or email us directly.
To request deletion of your data, email customerservice@daysie.app with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and we will process it within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Daysie is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
